Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine, famous for its AOP goat cheese, invites you to discover its heritage through its monuments.
You will travel through time and the history of France with its castle, its market halls and its magnificent crypt.
So many places subject to discover Touraine from the 6th to the 19th century. François II, Marie Stuart, Louis XIII, Marie de Médicis, Louis XIV and D'Artagnan came there. Why not you.

Guided tour for individuals:

From July 9 to August 28, 2022 (except July 30 and 31):

On Saturdays at 4pm and on Sundays at 10am and 4pm (Meeting at the OT car park)

Heritage Days (free tours)

Price: Adult: €3.50, free for children under 12

Duration of the visit: 1h30

Scenography of Passerelles

In this exhibition space, you will learn all the secrets of the AOP Sainte-Maure de Touraine goat cheese. Punctuated with videos started by yourself, panels that you can consult at your own pace, this interactive and playful space has everything to seduce. You will discover why a rye straw is found inside this fabulous cheese, by whom and how it is engraved. You will leave knowing that it is necessary to cut this AOP with this so specific form by its widest part. And children will learn that goats are very gourmet and how a milking takes place.
