37190  AZAY-LE-RIDEAU
In the heart of Touraine, in a seductive setting where the delicate whiteness of the tuffeau and the ever-changing green of the Indre blend harmoniously, l'Islette opens its doors to you. Guided tours at 11am, 12pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm. It was here that Camille Claudel and Auguste Rodin fell in love on several occasions in the 1890s. More than a haven of peace, the cha?teau was a place of creation. Rodin worked on his famous Balzac; Camille Claudel, on the other hand Camille Claudel sculpted ?La Petite Cha?telaine? among other works. L'Islette still vibrates with the memory of their presence.
